The boundary of the Young graph with Jack edge multiplicities
Int. Math. Res. Not. 1998, No.4, 173-199 (1998).
Zentralblatt: 0960.05107
Abstract: Consider the lattice of all Young diagrams ordered by inclusion, and denote by $Y$ its Hasse graph. Using the Pieri formula for Jack symmetric polynomials, we endow the edges of the graph $Y$ with formal multiplicities depending on a real parameter $\theta$. The multiplicities determine a potential theory on the graph $Y$. Our main result identifies the corresponding Martin boundary with an infinite-dimensional simplex, the `geometric boundary' of the Young graph $Y$, and provides a canonical integral representation for nonnegative harmonic functions. For three particular values of the parameter, the theorem specializes to known results: the Thoma theorem describing characters of the infinite symmetric group, the Kingman classification of partition structures, and the description of spherical functions of the infinite hyperoctahedral Gelfand pair.

Invariant Cyclic Homology
math.KT/0207118, 28pp.
Description: We define a noncommutative analogue of invariant de Rham cohomology. More precisely, for a triple $(A,\mathcal{H},M)$ consisting of a Hopf algebra $\mathcal{H}$, an $\mathcal{H}$-comodule algebra $A$, an $\mathcal{H}$-module $M$, and a compatible grouplike element $\sigma$ in $\mathcal{H}$, we define the cyclic module of invariant chains on $A$ with coefficients in $M$ and call its cyclic homology the invariant cyclic homology of $A$ with coefficients in $M$. We also develop a dual theory for coalgebras. Examples include cyclic cohomology of Hopf algebras defined by Connes-Moscovici and its dual theory. We establish various results and computations including one for the quantum group $SL(q,2)$.

Abstract: We construct cocycles on the Lie algebra of pseudo- and q-pseudodifferential symbols of one variable and on their close relatives: the sine-algebra and the Poisson algebra on two-torus. A ``quantum'' Godbillon-Vey cocycle on (pseudo)-differential operators appears in this construction as a natural generalization of the Gelfand-Fuchs 3-cocycle on periodic vector fields. We describe a nontrivial embedding of the Virasoro algebra into (a completion of) q-pseudodifferential symbols, and propose q-analogs of the KP and KdV-hierarchies admitting an infinite number of conserved charges.

Abstract: We introduce concepts of a continuous family of quasi-identities and of a continuous quasivariety. For continuous quasivarieties, a characterization theorem and an analog of the Birkhoff theorem on subdirect decomposition are proved. Also we point out the way of constructing examples of continuous quasivarieties and furnish the characterization of a relative congruence lattice of systems in the quasivarieties in question. Lastly, we re-prove the Hahn-Banach theorem on extension of a linear functional.

Also a similar theorem for a restricted Lie algebra over a field $k$ of characteristic $p$ (with $d=\dim_kL/([L,L]+L^p)\geq2$) is proved.

Leibniz Algebras, Courant Algebroids, and Multiplications on Reductive Homogeneous Spaces
Amer. J. Math. 123 (2001), N3, 525-550

Abstract: We show that the skew-symmetrized product on every Leibniz algebra E can be realized on a reductive complement to a subalgebra in a Lie algebra. As a consequence, we construct a nonassociative multiplication on E which, when E is a Lie algebra, is derived from the integrated adjoint representation. We apply this construction to realize the bracket operations on the sections of Courant algebroids and on the ``omni-Lie algebras'' recently introduced by the second author.

A Homotopy Lie-Rinehart resolution and classical BRST cohomology
Homology, Homotopy and Applications 3(2001), 165-192
Abstract: We use an interlaced inductive procedure reminiscent of the integration process from traditional deformation theory to construct a homotopy Lie-Rinehart resolution for the Lie-Rinehart pair which arises as an exercise in Poisson reduction in the context of the BFV construction of classical BRST cohomology. We show that the associated homotopy Rinehart algebra and the BRST algebra are isomorphic as graded commutative algebras. In the irreducible case, the two have the same cohomology.

Sb. Math., 2002, 193 (5), 709-725.
Abstract: when can a homogeneous element of a Grassmann algebra be represented as the sum of two decomposable elements? For an exterior algebra over a field necessary and sufficient conditions of such a representation are obtained, over an arbitrary integral domain several necessary conditions, and over Krull rings also several sufficient conditions. In particular, it is established that the only rings such that the verification of 2-decomposability is carried out in the same way as over fields are the fields, that is, there are no "2-Plucker" rings.

Sur une classe d'algebres filtrees
Comm. Math. Helv. 42 (1967), 111-
Description: Let L be a Lie superalgebra, f is 2-cocycle with values in K. U_f(L) is generalization of U(L) obtained by factoring by xy - (-1)(sign)yx - [x,y] - f(x,y)1. It is proved that a class of (super) associative filtered algebras such that gr A is a (super) symmetric algebra, coincides with U_f(L). This generalizes/unifies PBW theorem, earlier work in non-super case of Sridharan and the fact that gr (Clifford algebra) = exterior algebra.
