May 26-29, 2002. upgraded: ncurses from 1.9.9e to 5.2, kernel from 2.2.19 to 2.4.12, make from 3.77 to 3.79.1, glibc from 2.1.1 to 2.2.3, fileutils from 4.0 to 4.1, XFree86 from 3.3.1 to 4.1.0, therefore bringing the new machine to a (more) usable state.

May 20, 2002. transferred the system to a new machine (solely due to unavoidable physical relocation from the Promised Land to the Low Land).
